We are a group of friends living in the Salem/Keizer (Oregon) community. We go to different churches but we passionately serve the same God. Contact us at worshipdefined@q.com
(n) extravagant adoration and devotion to Jesus Christ, our Savior. (v) to live as Christ - a lifestyle of mercy, compassion, and a commitment to justice. syn see Isaiah 58
Isaiah 58:6-7
"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe him..."
The vision
To come together as the Body of Christ to glorify our Savior through corporate worship. As a result of this worship our desire is to raise awareness of and to “defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” Ps. 82:3-4. We believe this to be a tangible act of worship that is acceptable and pleasing to the Lord. We long to see a social revolution, led by the Church, that will change the world.
26,575 children died yesterday. 26,575 children died today. Will 26,575 children die tomorrow? Let’s be the generation that worshiped with our lifestyle and not just our lips.
